End of Semester/Internship Reflection
My Human Resources Internship at Braathe Enterprises was extremely valuable to me, especially since I found this opportunity on my own and advocated the reasons why I would be a great fit for this position. Overall, I loved that I was given the chance to grow and learn more about my pros and cons regarding human resources, especially since I had no background in recruiting, sourcing candidates, etc. In conclusion, I am beyond grateful for this experience and opportunity to contribute to the company.
Professional Goals/Future Plans
As I continue my career post-grad, my goal is to gain more experience in healthcare settings and network with other healthcare professionals. Overall, my goal is to work in Human Resources, specifically with onboarding, training, etc. To gain more experience and help me stand out as an applicant, I plan to learn more about the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and attend virtual or in-person networking events that I find through my connections on LinkedIn or through something that Indiana University Indianapolis hosts for Alumni. On the other hand, I have thought about pursuing a master's degree, but I want to ensure that the field and program are the best fit for me.
