Experiences

Within my academic journey, I had the opportunity to work at numerous different jobs and internships. Please read below on these experiences!

Work Experience

The IU Indianapolis Housing & Residence Life Desk Assistant position helped me enhance my overall soft skills in the workplace. This position involved greeting residents, visitors, and staff. I also assist with inquiries on campus resources, residence hall policies, and community events. Overall, my communication and problem-solving skills in this job supported my development as an individual and as a future healthcare professional.

Volunteer Experience

I volunteered with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful through my Sorority. We planted trees in areas that had little to no trees and cleaned up areas near living ecosystems.

Early Internship Experience

I interned with the IU Indianapolis Fairbanks School of Public Health as a Public Health Student Volunteer Corps Intern. In this position, I had the opportunity to complete a range of different projects. This included updating statewide contact lists, managing data in REDCap, and earning FEMA and HIPAA certifications.

Student Organizations

I am a Spring 2024 Initiate of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, by way of thee Oh So Sweet Omiron Pi Chapter on the IU Indianapolis campus. I have been the secretary for one year and have progressed to assisting other positions in the chapter as needed.
